Kit + Kaboodle

Design + Consultancy + Management

Working for Lighting Design House we designed all of the lighting elements for the major multi million pound refurbishment of this landmark shopping centre in the middle of Dublin including a large number of bespoke luminaires & features incorporating luminaires.

“Online”  was the title given to a series of works by the internationally renowned artist David Begbie.

Begbie’s sculptures are  created in a translucent material that allows the solid sculptures interplay with their projected shadows creating an analogy of human interaction.www.davidbegbie.com

Working closely with the organisers of this annual invitation only festival where discretion is the order of the day, Kit + Kaboodle deliver yet again.

Despite the low key nature of the event, our brief was that the lighting certainly shouldn't beand of course we obliged.

Employed by PROTEC LLC we joined the team from Pains Fireworks and travelled over to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to install the thousands of fireworks and pyrotechnics in, on and around the 240m high tower and in 2 other remote sites in the Saudi capital for the launch of this amazing structure.

The 10min long show, choreographed with the lighting and music was fired using a computer based system.

Again employed by Lighting Design House  we have designed and implemented temporary lighting schemes on the Tower of London for the Switched on London lighting festival in both 2007 and 2008

On both occasions we wrote a narrative which then evolved to become the brief & direction for the scheme
